First Character Head

This is my first character head that i've been working on (not finished yet). Feel quite pleased with it so far user added image Looking for a good way to do the hair, if anyone has any ideas please let me know,

Paint effect is a best choice, especially for longhair style.
Fur looks more realistic, but just fit into shorthair style.
And also u can use the traditional method, model them and texture them.
The links strarup gave u have covered all method I say above. Just try it based on what u choose.

looking really good - i'd like to see a wireframe

the lips are nice and the chin

the nose could use a little work - it's a bit undefined around the nostril area and the wings of the nose (if that is what they're called... i suddenly can't remember...)
