by the looks of that "Tambur" paint can i see you're a fellow israeli
I did try to get light fog but i did not like the result - I even posted a thread in WIP and no-one responded)with a little bit of dust haze hanging about in the air, ..that kind of thing.
You never know - they might be still there... bhaaahh !But yours looks like "almost" new, as if the tennants just moved out recently.
Both and as I said - I couldn't get the desired effect or if I did - you would not see most of the objects in the sceneAlso were you going for that bright sunny day look? ..or were you looking for the gloomy basement kinda feel?
What do you mean bt COntact-Shadows ?I ask because some of the objects as well as the joists do not have the stereo-typical "contact-shadow(s)".

I believe you could work on the lighting on the image.
I willNormally you want people to experiment or feel something when they see your image, and lighting works to achieve that feel. Right now, the image doesn´t offer much. Might want to work on it.
I dont think that this matters, you need to get the mood right and then use little point lights to pick out little details that you want. Give the point lights really low intensities e.g. 0.1 or 0.2 and that should pick them out enough to be seen enough.Problem is I did - I honestly did !
... but I sometimes lose the objects when the scene is dark (and moody)
