Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

a tryed to use maya as a graphic tool...

is there anyone who wants to make a session with using maya as a graphic tool?

i mean just make abstract stuff like this pictures i posted?

the rendering qulity is huge from maya and its alpha masks for editing in afther effects is so precise and good!

This is great! Reminds me of the iTunes visualizer. Awesome work my friend! I couldn't even imagine trying to figure out how you did that! Keep it up!

Heheh, great stuff.. i also love doing this kinda thing. One great thing to do is take a plane with a lot of polys, attach a turbulence field or something, and put the stats to rediculous levels so it goes all "abstract" you can now apply a cool shader and just wait for the render to come out, depending on the ammount of polys (shouldnt be too many) depends on the speed of the render (and the shader). I like the very top one though user added image.

BTW, also.. if you have photoshop.. you can create starters through maya.. which are GREAT.. and then you can just start to add contrast and hues to your work along with color overlays to make some amazing stuff. The shards with the plane (above) is a great way to get some amazing effects, when you then bring it to photoshop user added image. HINT : Save as targa so you can combine tons of abstract stuff in one image user added image.

Ask eagleking on this stuff too.. it seems hes good at it.
