Maya 5 + Maya 4.5 book???

I haven't made the switch to maya 5 *yet* because I just ordered a book on 4.5. What I'm wondering is could I do all the stuff in the book with maya 5? Or is there too many changes such as the interface and whatnot. Also, the book comes with scene files, could I use those with maya 5? Thanks.

you can do the same stuff in Maya 5 as in maya 4.5..

the only differences I have found so far has to do with the new FK/IK features with the skeleton, but that can be disabled in the skeleton menu..

You should be able to. Most software is backwards compatible. You'd only run into trouble opening up Maya 5 files in an earlier version.

Cool. Maya 5 Fundamentals is coming out in september. But I can't wait. I doubt there will be that many changes anyways.
