This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.
I agree. I think overall it looks fantastic. If I were to nitpick, though, the ears look alittle odd to me...don't know what it is....they stick out too much....they're stitched at a weird angle. Maybe it's supposed to be that way? It was the only thing that felt a little off at first glance. The modeling looks great...just the attachment looks slightly strange.
It might be the angle but you might consider slightly increasing the width of his shoulders and chest as he looks a tiny bit top heavy head and neck wise. Conversely, if he's a thin chap his neck might be a tad thick. Not sure how exact you are being anatomically, but you might want to build up the clavicular portion of the muscle (not the bone) above the pectoralis major at the front of the chest.
Here is a wire, will also look at fixing ears and shoulder width. He, when finished (need help with texturing....Anyone??????) will be a tatooed 'inmate' wearing underpants with a big smilie face on the crotch. I want him to look 'thugish' yet not too musclely.
I have attempted this character in the past. This is really just an update in an attempt to get the feel more appriate for the character and set (jail cell). Hope that makes sense to anyone.
