Okay, so I'm on chapter 5 of Maya Fundamentals, and it just had me load all of the preset hotkeys and marking menus into my preferences. I start Maya back up, and of course, everything is screwed up.

I've put most things back where they belong, but one problem remains... my menu bar (File Edit Modify etc.) is gone. It comes back temporarily when I do crtl-m, but goes away again when I click.

Is there a setting somewhere to make it stay up?

Last time I drag files into my preferences, I learned my lesson.

Thanks, d2, but I didn't see any options for a "main menubar", just for the pane menus.

I guess the Hotbox is enough, but it's weird not seeing the menu bar up there.

i think you may have hidden it:

try display>>ui elements>>restore UI elements.
