moving image planes

hi there.
i got a problem (am 100% maya newbie) user added image. have an image plane in the front view. the camera is ortographic, the image is "fixed" so it should not move with the camera. but even that it's sliding a little bit when im tracking the view. what's wrong?

what do you mean sliding?could you give a screenshot so we can see what the problem is? if the image plane is not attached to camera (thus fixed), it should stay in place if you move the camera around.

are you sure you put the correct image plane to fixed? maybe you have more than one ...

I find better results just using a polygonal plane with the reference image on it.

I'm having the exact same problem (naturally I searched first before posting a problemuser added image )

All image planes are fixed, one moves with the camera!user added image

So Mike, do you mean that we should create an image on a poly item and place it as if it were an image plane?

Thanks,
Owen
