ummmm.....a gun

Hi everyone,

Well I got bored and fired up Maya today and this is what I got after 40 minutes. I know there is still loads of detailing to do but the general shape is there.

I'm going to make it into "die another day" type of animation.

What do you think?

Alex

user added image hehe funny now its more like a over_equiped weapon.

I would make another gun out of that minigun of yourse, not place it on that nice rifle, but hey thats just me..
And i think the front piece is a bit bigg, but lazer sounds interesting.
Maby the rocket_launcher of yourse would work hehe, would be fun in real life. just make it a little bigger.

Keep playing with it user added image

why are all the renders blurry? Except the GI wich has no Anti Aliasing, and is way too bright. The gun on the other hand looks pretty bad ass, i just wish i could see it better!

it's probably due to his *.Jpeg compression not being baseline standard. Needs to be changed from either progressive or optimized to standard.

I think he´s using DOF.
Gives a clean render man! We want so see weaponry! :p

Looking very good by the way, what is that bulbous thing in the front of the barrel?

Hey everyone,

Thanks for your crits. Just got up so no updates yet. (Gee I have a life getting up and going straight to simplymaya.com lol)

The images are blurry due to the jpeg. I'll re-render it so it's not.

adl: That thing suprised me too and frankly I don't like but the real gun has the same thing.

here's a link to a pic.

I've re-rendered and removed that big ugly thing at the front. I don't know now it looks like it's unbalanced. what do you guys think?
