Melting object?

Hi!
I want to model a melting ice-cube, but don't know how. I know that there has been a tutorial on the aw homepage about an melting object, but the tutorial isn't awailable anymore. Does one of you still have it or can someone give me a short explanation on how to dit?

my first guess would be to use soft body dynamics. and slowly make the icecube softer and softer.

but then i am no expert for sfx :p

I think the tut used softbody dynamics, a gravity blobby thing, and an elastic deforming thingy that helped keep the pot (A|W melted a pot, pun intended I think) in shape for a while.

Funny thing with their tut was that if you inceased the gravity the thing bounced up and down for ages, looks very funny.

Use a lattice. Alias have a tutorial on this at there 'How To' page. Is about melting a vase, but just use a ice cube as your model.

I try to find the one i did to show you.

OK here my file. Not the best model cos is was somthing i did when i was bored but is shows the melting.

Use the options in the channel box to changed the way it melts.
