Hummer: Low Poly

Ok. More low poly stuff in the works. This is a military hummer. 396 polys with the gun, 332 without.

And so I gotta make a few LOD (Level of Details) shots, so here's one at around 1896 tris. It has to be under 2500. Ya know, it's actually harder to add details than it is to take them away. Im wanting to add this and that, but then I watch that tris count get higher and higher. But the detail I do add only seems to bring it up 5 or 10 tris at a time. So just trying to figure out what I should add detail to is the harderst part. :p

Anyway.. here it is. Same hummer as above, just with more details.

What would the model be used in? FPS game? The top one would probably be so far away that you could possibly join the wheelarch with the side and just texture that part. Looking good though, not sure about the polys in the front contra side for the second LOD but youre probably way ahead of me. user added image

This will be fit into the Unreal engine, so yeah, FPS is about right.

That second pic isn't triangulated yet, but it still contains the same amount of tris either way.

Nippick time. Is that a live axle I see in the front? The hummer is independent front and rear suspension. Overall nice use of pallies.

Well, Rick made a good call on the axels. I can't believe I let that one slip by. Thanks for pointing it out, Rick. Here's the update.

Nice work. Is that still in photoshop or is that the sideview of your model? If it is sideview, show more views user added image
