Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Problems with CPS tutorial...

Hi,
Have just been doing the CPS tutorial (Many Thanks for the Freebie) but when it got to the part where you delete the face to make a mouth, the one on the tutorial is nice and rounded, whereas mine seems to cut the poly out and just followed the lines.
- not the err whatever it is.. Proxy? or is that the poly ?

I Cntrl-Z - all the way back to the basic shape and tried again in case I had moved the centre vertices or something. But its still same - See pic -

Any Ideas ?
Regards Scraggy

BTW - Can someone please tell me is there a difference between Subdivs and CPS ?

Yeah but Sub-D uses Polygon Proxy Mode which is pictured here. It uses a polygon hull to manipulate the sub-d surface.
