Nemo's Sub - Mayan666

Just finished my 2d drawings of my sub. If you're wondering, I made then in paper first then traced them manually in Macromedia Flash (for me there's no better program for 2d draw).
Since the challenge this month is the design and the theme is from a book, one can be very imaginative, so I thought of making mine resemble a shark.
The hard part now is to "3d" it. Comments are welcome user added image

First of all as soon as I got the sketch in maya I found out that I should have projected the dotted lines between the top and the front views (some proportions don't fit well). But that ain't all that important now since the purpose of the sketch was only to guide me.
The sub is getting much better that I expected since it's my first complex object done with nurbs in maya. But I'm having dificulties in a thing:
To do the "eye"of the sub I made the big hull live and drawn the curves of it in it. Then I made it not live again. Fine. The problem is when I try to edit the curves' cvs because the manipulator tool has changed and it doesn't allow me to get out of the original live object. Hope haven't been to confusing here.
Here's the actual aspect of the sub (only a half of it done and the surfaces haven't been stitched yet):

Live is Live

Just duplicate the curve, delete it's history and delete the Live-Curve....fininshed..
