IU have got maya 8.5 and am following a tutorial from gnomon for an eyeball. The thing is, I am having problems with the shading part of it, as what I have to do is plug a ramp into the transparency...

I am currently up to modelling the eyes for my model, and I need high res images of irises. Please, has anyone got any links for me to have a look at, many thanks.

thought you may say that, I am at work so I cant post one yet, but I have mocked it up in paint to show, simply a white grid over my render:

When I do a render I am disappointed to see that there is a thin white grid overlaid on my renderm and I dont know how to get it off.
