you know like when i create a nurbs sphere and i click on it to select it i on selects the face i clicked on and not the entire face

nope F8 enters vertex mode anything else .
it is maya 6.5maybee this will help also it only happens with nurbs primitives

ok i am sure that this a a very stupid question but i am stuck in face mode :( meaning that when i click on an object it selects the face and not the whole object how do i fix this i thought it was...
