having problem with glass shading

Hi there, I'm working on doing a glass shader but I can't seem to understand how to go about doing it, it is for a Lightbulb object

Can someone help me out, I've looked all over the place but can't find anything.

Also how would I make the inside of the bulb glow(ie the little metal thingy)

Thanks

to make the thing in the middle glow, make it what color you want it and go to attribute editor and go to special effects and turn on glow. for the lightbulb just put a blinn on it and make it transparent user added image
