Turtle renderer

Hey guys, I thought I would share this stuff with you guys. I have been messing around with turtle renderer for a bit and getting myself familliar with its settings. Anyways, I must say that I am very impressed with what they have done with this renderer. It does do what the say.

Very small package but packs a punch. They still have alot to do. Here are a few shots and avi files to look at.

first the render. it was originally done at 1k and took two minutes using something cool called ambient occlusion i will show it later in a movie file. The bump on the eye is using a special turtle node. Now whats cool isthat I can open multiple textures into this bump node and control the scale on each one. The hat is also using a single texture bump. I will upload some movies to show some renders

Yeah. Its a cool renderer from what I've seen on a tutorial. I wish I could get it, but I have PLE user added image.

Nice work!

Somehow, I doubt kevin likes all this talk of "digital-tutors.com" as they are probably his second biggest rival company.

Nice render though.

here is some very simple stuff.

This render only has point lights on. antialias is turned down.

It was about 40 - seconds a frame
also raytraced shadows is on

Render no ambient occlusion

Here is Ambient occlusion turned on.

I still have very simple settings on. same as above except for the occlusion.

render time went up to about one minute and a half per frame. I could have cut this down by baking the textures to an occlusion map. Global ill is not turned on. No HDR image.

Ambient Occlusion on

There are few more features that look very interesting

Depth of field
Motion blur
and sub d rendering

I forgot to mention. Do not mind the terrible walk cycle. I put it together in 5 minutes.
