Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Normals Problem

Hi again

Im having a rather large problem in Maya. All my objects appear see-through on one side and its really annoying me. Ive been messing around with the normals tools (which I was told could solve it) and it doesnt solve the problem. I tried reversing the normals and its just the same but see-through on the other side (duh user added image) and conform wont work nor will any of the other normals tools unless im using them incorrectly.

Thanks for any help on this matter.

Mato

I have been told the solution to this problem so here it is to anyone who has become victim to it user added image:

'Turn on double sided in object's render stats, disable Shading>Backface culling in panel menu. Also disable Polygons>Tools options> Create meshes single sided'

that sorted it!
