Mental Ray, PLEASE HELP!

Does anyone know why Mental Ray for Maya doesn't render out 3D paint effects? For the warehouse that's on my site I tried placing it in a field that had grass painted in 3D. But for some reason, when I used the Mental Ray renderer, the grass didn't show up, only when I did a software render. Is there any way around this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

it doesnt render paintfx.

convert your paint fx to polys.
