Intrested in a Wacom tablet

Any tips or suggestions on what I should pickup? I have a 17in monitor and a small workspace but a fairly large lap lol

if you have little desktop space look at the 6x9 sized tablets. They store easy and are very managable in hand. The 12" tablets are great, but they require a significant desktop are and are really a bit too bulky to use in your lap. at least imo.

i got one on the 21st of november for my B.day.
here's the picture u dont really need a large one way to expensive anyhow.
These are the best make etc so i beleive.

The Intuos3 A5 model takes about the same desk space as a 15inch laptop if thats of any help?

wow , thats pretty big.... ill get a intuos 3 for christmas in Din A 4
sry.. thats our norm .. i dont know what size it is in inches... you know the metric system ....a quater pounder with cheese is called a royal with chees and we put mayo on our fries .. but big mac is big mac ohne the french call it le bic mac .... user added image
but hey we ve got beer in our mc donalds and are allowd to drink in the age of 16 .... oehm what did i want to say?
oh yes... the smallest is DINA 6 then comes 5 and then 4..
is it really so big?! i ve also only a lap because evereything around me is build to be used in a really confortable way... at the moment of writing im sitting on a couch.... user added image

I use a Wacom Graphire 4 x 5 tablet. It works great, small, and is only $100. It comes with Painter and Photoshop as well.

the intuos3 range have a looong cable so you could sit a fair way away from the desk if required user added image
they've brought out a bluetooth version (dont know which model, graphire or intuos?) which should be even more fun to walk around and draw with. I could see getting a projector and sitting on a couch to do some really BIG drawing user added image
