How to start study mel script?

If I want to learn about mel script how should I start? cause I am a beginner one who never use mel script before. please help me I'm really interested in maya.

open the script editor when you are doing stuff in maya and you will see that maya is running all it is doing is running a series of MEL commands (turn on "echo all commands" in the script editor to see what I'm talking about).

That's the best place to start. then check out the docs I think there's some stuff in there.

Also look at other people's scripts. Some are very well commented so you might learn loads from them...
