Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

I Can Not Fill A Hole If My Life Depended On It! Something's Wrong Here

hey guys...

first off...just wanna say hello to everyone.
i'm starting to get more into 3D now,
so i'm really out of shape with maya, but i do know basics.

anywho...

i have this logo (polygon), but...it's only got a front, top, and bottom...but no BACK!
i've been trying Merge This, Merge That...FILL HOLE, and i can't get it to work :-(
can someone please help? i just need the walls closed and i'm fine.

heres my file:

www.amcsolutions.net/latearrival/logo.mb

so...is it just me?!
can someone please help?
it's very very important.
i'm on the crappiest deadline :-(

i mean...if someone can show me what i'm doing wrong, it will be highly appreciated.

no...haven't tried it.

how would i do THAT?

do i chose edges, vertices...?

i'm sorry, i'm a little slow at maya, but it'd mean a lot if u could help.

on of the objects is bacially like a MOON.
it LOOKS like it has four sides on wireframe, but when it's visible, it only has 3 sides, not four.
i need to close that wall :-(

well, you would just use the Append To Polygon Tool available in the Polygons menu, click on the first edge of your object and on next edge and next edge and next edge...

everything starts and ends in the right place at the right time.
