This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

i have GOT to get a FX now! user added image
but, um, how can you compare a wildcat (workstation) with an FX (for gaming)? theyre used for different things, thats assumin the FX is meant to be for gaming

well the FX is not ONLY for gaming... it can work as a workstation card but I guess you are right about the wildcat... it has it's advantages over the FX for being for workstations

well the main advantage of the wildcat is the bigger ram, but then it is not sure how much ram the fx will get. what i heard it might be 256 meg ddr2. and then fx has 64 bit (!!) graphics and wildcat is at 32 bit.

do you think the FX would cost as much as the wildcat? cos nvidia do tend to aim high user added image

what i read in a gaming magazine, but that is of course all speculation, was around $ 600.

they cannot make it much more expensive - the gaming version at least. nodody would pay more for a gfx for games.

if they make a quadro FX (quadro 5 however you want to name it) you can end up easily over $2000.

oh forget the quadro then! £400 for the FX is not bad at all user added image
