Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character
fixed the legs, no big details, just seeing the right proportions for this character, I see him ok now. What you think guys? Still gotta do his joins, hands and stuff in details
when Im looking at the little guy something still bothers me. I liked it before when he was smaller, but to me he was still mis-proportioned. (To me, of course)
I would just have made the proportion corrections like the one on the right.
Papa has it spot on. If you look on your most recent render his knees look like they point inward because you've widened his torso without keeping proportions right. His shoulder joint should be in line with his knees.
Cool little character, once you've sorted the proportions he'll look quality. Thought about textures yet?
