Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Sexy Robot

I guess it's about time I moved my Steampunk pinup challenge entry here to the WIP forum. I'm not shure I want to make her a steampunk pinup anymore so I'm labeling this WIP thread "Sexy Robot".

Here is the link to the Steampunk challenge wip thread to view all the earlier wips.Linkage

Anyway, after my PC crashed I had to go back and redo some of my progress that I lost. I lost most all the head that I had started and some body work in the upperbody and legs, and since I have not had the chance to redo the head, I put a place holder in for reffernce with the rest of the anatomy. Anyway, I made changes in the legs, hips, and widened the ribcage just a little bit. Everything is really looking good now.

I still have alot of work to do on the shoulders and neck area though.

the non-rotated head makes the model look wonky... took me a few seconds to realize that it was just that the head was not turned...

is there a reason we don't get to see the back of the head? user added image

Mr. Anderson....hrmm, uh, I mean NEO welcome back, we missed you. user added image

That head is just a place holder till I build a better one. I realize the temp looks wierd from the back because it has no back, but right now it's mainly for me. It serves 2 purposes. It tells me how big the head needs to be, and it helps me keep the rest of the body topolgy in check.

severinianthony- Showing the inner mechanics of the head is a very good idea! I will consider that when I start rebuilding the head, thanks! user added image
