MENTAL RAY

HI guys my mental ray jus stopped working with my maya i tried everything re-installing but it has jus stopped working im using maya 8 anyone out there who can help

Maya 8 has rendering problems with Mental Ray. Try going back to Maya 7, it is more stable, but slow. Or Maya 8.5.

its missing what should i do i want to down grade to maya 7 when i have no more options

when its missing...

check in the plug-in manager if mayatomr plug in is loaded
