This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.
what are you using it for if its not for low poly game modelling then you dont really have to watch your poly count. unless your machine has some limits lol. Looking good though
Just a note:
"removed unnecessary faces" - You don't remove the faces. You remove edges/edge-loops and vertices...
Do you have any blueprints for that?
I try not to use a foto for a blueprint. Photos tend to have perception in them, causing some parts to look larger, smaller, angled, etc. www.the-blueprints.com has a lot of blueprints of guns, vehicles, and what not. Might want to take a look there.
