Sniper Rifle on hydraulic stand

Just watched the Jackal the other day, and I thought that the sniper gun thingy was pretty sweet. So I took their idea and started modeling something like it. Here's what I got so far:

P.S. Not that the rear part is just a box model. Still need to get the modified Browning M2 in there. Atleast, it looks like a Browning M2

P.P.S. Also still need to make the camera part for the lens

Looks very good, I've seen that film as well (probabaly at the same time)
I can't remember the gun in detail, but it looks awesome user added image

any tips or tricks for weapons? tried a few times with different weapons, never really came out as i wanted it...

I'm not really an expert, but for the basics, I usually use the extrude tool to get the basic shape right, and then add detail, but that can be done in many different ways user added image
