BRAD BIRD PIXAR INTERVIEW!

Ok, I was just over at PIXAR in Emeryville with my friend that works in the animation dept. He gave me this link to this site of a rare interview of Brad Bird that was recorded and broadcasted around the studio pre- "Ratatouille".

THIS IS GOLD!!! Being an animator myself I consider this to be a great source into the mind of one of the great Animators of our time, Brad Bird! An interview by Animators For Animators! You have to listen to this whether you're a student, animator, professor, whoever!

*Brad talks about his experience working with Disney's 9 old men.
*Traditional animation vs. 3D animation
*Tips to make your animations stand out .
*And what makes a great animator.

Check it out! enjoy.

this interview was done in February I remember getting it back then. inspired!!!

I recommend this to everyone as it is just great. How Brad got his intro to the industry is fascinating, unfortunately it doesnt happen like this much anymore.

Also download the other spline casts, all are interviews with the staff of Pixar and well worth it.

Check out www.fxguide.com for their podcasts too. they have regular updates on the latest goings on in the industry covering things from film to tv series's that are fx reliant. Also they have how to get into industry stuff too.

Cheers
Jay
