finding a vertex

hi there, Im having a problem turning a poly into a subdiv because there is something wrong with vertex nr89. is there a way to easily find this vertex without having to go over the whole model?

thanks!

Not sure if this is possible but can you search for it in the top of the outliner, then press 'f' to frame it in the main window.

I know it can be done using mel but can't remember off the top of my head the commands needed.

In the Mel Commands box at the bottom of the screen type:

select -r shapename.vtx [VertexNumer(s) ]

Then hit enter.

All the text in blue needs to be replaced with the appropriate data.

If you want to select more than one vert. simply separate each vertNumber with ( : ) with no brackets.

"Yes."
