Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

rendering a movie

i have done an animation and i was trying to follow mike's tutorial on rendering a movie.I am using maya 2008 and if i go to windows--> rendering editors : there is no option for render globals so am stuck at that point , i don't know how to proceed from there. pliz help

Its there, its just called "Render Settings" instead.

And remember render your movie in sequence of images not .avi ! I use .tiff i think .jpg dosen't suppor alpha channels or im in mistake user added image

jpeg doesn't have transparencies, and also when Maya renders and saves out to jpeg it saves it out as a real low quality picture
