Beer glass scene creation
This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.

Free/Cheap Quality Matchmoving Software

Ok, it has been asked about enough to warrant me posting this so others interested in 3D Matchmoving may learn and benefituser added image

NOTE: This thread is about 3rd party 3D Matchmoving software only.
If enough people show interest, I'll create a sticky talking about available 2D tracking solutions as well.
(i.e, Point Trackers - pretty much available in every compositor
...and Planar trackers available from Imagineer Systems.)

Ok, first I'll start with the best FREE ones out there:

Voodoo
https://www.digilab.uni-hannover.de/download.html

Icarus - https://www.peerlessproductions.com/t...es/Icarus.html
(NOTE: this link/site may die anytime, so grab it while you can)
Now owned by The Pixel Farm and developed into their flagship products.
This version of Icarus is free, courtesy of The Pixel Farm.

Now here is a list of the best CHEAP/low-cost software:

PFHoe Pro (formerly Icarus, bought by The Pixel Farm)
$216 US
https://www.pfhoe.com/hoepro.htm

Syntheyes - $400 US https://www.ssontech.com

...So, there you have it, the best of the free/cheap 3D Matchmoving softwareuser added image

Questions regarding the above software should not be posted here, they should be posted in their respective forum/support communities.

Feel free to post links to any new 3D tracking software that you may find out there, and I'll include them in this listuser added image

No problem.

I work with Boujou/Machmover/3D Equalizer at my job, but since they are a little expensive and a bit complicated, I felt this list of software would help those interested.

... we all had to start somewhereuser added image

I think SynthEyes is the Best Match Moving Software with Lots of features but less Price. We use it in most of our vfx work, and it works great.

i think the 3D tracker in the new Nuke uses the same algorithm as synthEyes. Might be worth investigating.

yeah this is an old thread, but still relevant. the prices might be wrong and Matchmover is bundled with maya now... maya live is always still an option.

the new pftrack is quite good. its node based now which makes things a little different. I've not tried it yet.
