my first try at a car (Pink Caddy)

Well i am just learning Maya 09 and this is something i
have worked on & off for months .
my background is in some F.S.D.S. and Gmax .
and some poser and D/z .
as you may see i have a bunch of hard lines on the hood shape i might have to re do the hood.
as for the texturing in flight Sim Design Studio.
i learned that for me it was best to name and color
parts as i went along i have a poor memory
for stuff i made and it seems hard to go back and name
and texture after i finish the model also i can see conflicts
right away
The main problem is the headlight bucket
it is a compound reverse compound curve. and i have poor reference photos for this project.

Welcome to SM. user added image. Good start. The "headlight bucket" does indeed look strange and I really don't think the chrome shader is helping in this case, I can't make out whats happening there.

You'r right about the chrome shader.
i decided to re do the bucket (¿Poke thru) and
will work on it some later.
i try to find and work on the( to me) hard stuff
first. like the next part (Headlight Door) and a lens
to use on the road lamp and headlight and a start over on the hood i will soon snap a shot and post it if thats ok.
