This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

Centres of faces - way to display them.

Hello,

Is it possible to show centres of faces when selecting faces? There is an option in the Polygon menu to do this but it also shows centres(points) in the object level and also when object is not selected. I want to be able to snap curves to centres of faces(points) like it was possible to do in Maya 2008.

Regards,
Damian

go to windows setting and preferences and select the selection tab and under polygon selection you should see Select faces with: center or whole face.

I have found both methods useful so have created a shelf shortcut to toggle between the two modes.
