i'm getting ready to buy my first digital art tablet. the main use of it will be for texturing my models in photoshop. does anyone have any suggestions on which kind to buy?

Wacom seems to be the industry standard, and not just because of a popularity contest. It seems to be actually the better brand, but I can't speak really from experience because I've only every used wacom (graphire and now intuos 4).

I have bought a few other cheap tablets, but none of them lived up to the precision and sensitivity of the my Intuos 4 Wacom tablet. A bit expensive but if your a digital artist, its a real good investment.

I run off the Wacom Cintiq 12" and consider it the best investment of my life.

i have the Wacom Bamboo Fun, it was fairly cheap ($150) at the time. I use it for pretty much everything other than Maya, I like it a lot for the price. I used a Intuos while I was going to school they are awesome but to expensive for me atm.
