Veins 3D

Hello everyone I'm new to the forum and also the 3d field and I wanted to ask you for help ... I should create a similar effect to that (for those who know) of vampire diaries: the veins under the eyes .. I would like them to life with animation
you have any suggestions?

You could use two textures for the eye with a layer texture node, just lay one texture over the other and use the alpha channel to control the transparency of one, the bumps under the eyes can be done with a bump map key the bump depth same with the veins bulging ..............dave

you can explain it better? I do not understand ... veins with the map key?

I gone a little more into it, how would you get the veins to grow I have used a ramp to do this. The ramp is connected to the bump depth, use the "select position" of the ramp to set your keys if you are going to animate it..................dave
