Making a chain [help]

I've followed ctbram's youtube guide on how to make a simple chain with motion path, but even though I did exactly what he did, it turned out wrong.

In the video he attaches the one link to the motion path, and it starts at the start of the curve, but when I do it, it doesn't start at the start of the curve, but longer down.

Could someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong, I would be very grateful!

Here's the video for context : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4vvEkd3-5hc
