Yeah. Tried to do what seemed to be a fairly easy assignment. Nothing showed up in the window, not even the grid. Just a blank dark grey area that is the same color as the rest of Maya.

1. Are there any errors in the Script Editor?
2. Is there anything in the Outliner?

Delete userprefs folder in the documents/maya folder. Make sure Maya is closed or it will generate a new one when you restart the application.

Why would you delete the folder? You can reset.
I can screencap what is going on but I don't have an account with an image hosting service or anything, and there is no direct upload.

Also, I have a small feeling that it's hardware.... Maya is an infuriating lil !@#.

EDIT: Things are present in Outliner.
