This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with
complex objects.
If you mounted the images onto planes, select the plane shader in the Hypershade and change the transparency settings under R,G and B to something like 0.5.
Think I got that from the SM tutorial on making a shark so thanks to that if I did 8).
another "fix" would be not to put the image planes in the middle, but offset them so they are outside the actual modeling. if they are only visible in the cam that has them, then no need to mess with transparency.
