Render Farm?

What is the minimum requirement of software on a dedicated render-farm PC? (exept from the farmsoft daemon)

Full install, or just copy mayabatch.exe and render.exe ??

not sure experiment and see, I would imagine that you would only need render.exe and mayabatch but I cant be sure
