Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Dark spots at the poles of a transformed sphere?

I know this has to be a simple explanation for this but what causes (and how do I fix) dark spots that occur on tranformed NURBS spheres (see attached image)? Is this just inherent in the object? Converting to poly seems to take care of it but I'm still curious if there's a fix while still in NURBs. Anyone?
