Movies from this site not Mac Friendly

Downloaded a couple of free tutorial movies from this site. They are Windows Media format. They do NOT play back with sound on my Mac, and give an error message about an unsupported codec. I have MediaPlayer9 for OSX. I have 10.3.2., Dual2.0 G5, 4GB RAM, etc. etc. etc.

I have an idea, why not just post the movies in a format that EVERYONE CAN use....Quicktime!

All these little sub-sets of codecs within codecs in Windows Media files is extremely annoying...

OR, if you don't want Mac users on this site just say so on the Home page...

Thanx!

Yes the very early movies from this site where done in a format that mac cant play but all the new ones can.

We do have a lot of mac users who can and do watch the movies.

actually, some macs run all the movies fine, some don't. I don't personally know the reasons as to why.

I know little of macs but I do know that video playback is usually a codec issue....almost in all cases
