This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with

well you say you need to make it more real, but we dont know what your limits are.. The only thing I can say is the hilt is too flat and looks like it should be not continuous with the handle..
It seems as though the sword is mostly shaped in the x and z, and not so much in the z direction. I'd say you should make a little more 'height' contrast between the actual blade and the grip.
But other than that I think it looks quite ok for using in a game, especially when you texture it.
dont worry about the limits. i just need to kno how to make the blade look like its real metal. and as for everything being too flat here is another angle. i hope this helps.
