This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.
This is the first time i used maya 3d in one of my pieces (usually i use 3dsmax to make trendy crystal explosions). Since maya doesn't have a noise filter, I used maya to make the rock formations that i used in the pic below. I just use the nurb sculpting tool to make a blob of some sort and then played around with materials and bump maps to create the rocks. I didn't do the textures in maya, the vast majority was done in photoshop. I used 2 stock images, one of clouds and one of a waterfall to achieve this effect.

Wow, really nice... you truly have photoshop mastered after showing that. Do you have any other pieces that you have made that you would be happy to share? Maybe a website? Great stuff though , cya.
