Lofting between splines

Hi, I'm currently creating a race track using splines. When I loft between the corners are skewed as obviously the verts are averaged in both splines from start to end. This is not what I want the the UVs will be bad.. I want the slines across teh road to be straaight across not bent... what loft option am I missing here...

How are you creating your curves (splines lightwave I think), if you duplicate then loft should work on the default settings. To reset loft open loft setting and go to edit and reset.........dave

Edit:You might want to rebuild your first curve so you have a more evan spread

Please grab a screen shot of your curves and display their edit points.
