Female Head Modeling

To better my model skills i made a face modleing tut from the maya fundamentals book...hope i will learn maya now faster as before...not sooo slow that im nearly giving it up. here are some pics of the nose and the eye area:

here's the SubD highest level (3) with a greay shader....dont know where to find that initial grey....kurt used it for his mumakil....can someone help???

well i just used an orange colourd blinn and rendered this images...lips need some tweaking.....
