This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.

The game looks INCREDIBLE, but i do have to agree with the point that we won't be seeing this game run as smoothly as we would hope.....dammit...and I just "upgraded" my vid card about 2 months ago user added image

2005 and 2006? dont get your hopes up, this is gonna be something along the lines of Half-Life 2..."HL 2 Christmas 2003, HL2 April 2004, aghhh we got hacked- HL 2 summer 2004.....!"
BTW i seen that video before and it does look amazing!

DUKE NUKEM WHENEVER FOREVER AND EVER

yeah its becomming a common practice... if they can sell preorders on the meantime plus build expectations to crazy levels so that then everybody with that platform buys it. on release... why not do it?...

any not essential consumer goods (and by extension any form od advertising) is based on our unhappines.. if youre not unhappy yet they gotta make you notice.... user added image

what bothers me is that as far as ive seen theres nothing new that didnt came with the Cg toolkit shaders v2.0(ie if they use shaders 3.0 it isnt very much noticeable)
what it is noticeable is the hi res of the "lo-res" models and the monsterously high-res (and taken from models beyond hi-res) normalmaps...
But then they dont plan making a good LoD manager for U3, planning instead to leave it almost as is with 16-32 bots/players(as ut2003-4)that meaning that i wont see epic battles of 300-600 bot soldiers in squads that players can lead)change to any of the members, etc. and 20-50 wehicles in an hypotetic UT3 which is pretty much what i would expect from a UT-Onslaught on the yr 2006...
