Complex UV Layout in Maya
Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

texture update

gave nessie some basic leather texture as I have no idea on how UV texture it yet, change the lighting setup as I lost the last one, I will be doing some little fish and adding some particles as dust as soon as I figure out how use them.

C & C's are always welcome.

Looks good, but I'm not a fan of those hard ridges. Plus I feel the fins look detactable.

I think what he means is that the fins have kind of a "gutter" all the way around them, and because of that it looks like they come off or something like that... Not something I noticed at first, but I think he's right...

Otherwise, great model and scene! I especially love water!!!

Yeah, Blomkaal's got it. Kind like Mr. Potatohead. It looks like you can pull the fins off and plug them back it user added image

If my entry is to good for the noobie class, I will gladly change class (better sooner than later) I will see if I can get mtmckinley to change the thread title to norm. I am not trying to deceive any one, this is only my fourth model in maya.
