This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i
I'm experiencing a problem that is really driving me crazy.
I just installed Maya 6.0 Unlimited. Whenever I load the program, it crashes immediatly after the window with the introductory learning videos is displayed. Basically everything freeze, and all the program windows gets white. After that the pop-up window with the "Program is not responding" advice appear and I have no other choice other than terminating the task.
The only log file I was able to find in the Alias folder is the Wrapper.log located in the following directory:
C:\Program Files\Alias\Maya6.0\docs,
which contains the following info:
STATUS | wrapper | 2004/10/10 15:38:13 | --> Wrapper Started as Service
STATUS | wrapper | 2004/10/10 15:38:14 | Launching a JVM...
INFO | jvm 1 | 2004/10/10 15:38:14 | Wrapper (Version 3.0.5)
INFO | jvm 1 | 2004/10/10 15:38:14 |
INFO | jvm 1 | 2004/10/10 15:38:16 | 0 [WrapperSimpleAppMain] ERROR velocity - ResourceManager : unable to find resource 'VM_global_library.vm' in any resource loader.
Is this connected to my problem somehow? In the meantime, I downloaded and installed the latest Java Runtime Environment 1.4.2 SE but nothing changed.
Is there any other log file available for the identification of useful infos on this recurring crash?
Or is anybody able to provide help for the resolution of this problem?
Thanks a lot in advance for your help.
P.S. Maya 5.0 has always worked fine on my computer. But now I tried to install it again and it also crashes in the same way as Maya 6.0. I also installed the Maya 6.0.1 update but the problem still remains: Maya crashes just after startup.
I also tried with the updated nVidia drivers for my Geforce 4 440MX Card, without luck.
I'm well aware of the fact that this graphic card is not supported by Alias, however Maya 5.0 has always worked perfectly with it.
I'm really out of hopes because my hardware configuration did not change at all and, therefore, I cannot reconduct this recurring crash to any different hardware or software setup.
... if I could only be able to find a detailed log file with the description of the error causing Maya to crash!
