I've only just really taken the time to look at the reference and the full scope of him. This is going to be some awesome stuff!

It looks like a barbute and corinthian style helm, both of which were completely round. I think the person's helmet in the photo was completely round as well. As a person who looks at armor alot I don't like that weird indent much. I would also suggest brass or bronze for trim and rivets, it looks, I think, more medieval. Heres alot of information on helmets through the ages, I found it helpful. It identifies helmet syles and parts of of the helmet, and their time which used.

Thanks dae!

Does anyone think that any thing is out of proportion or positioned incorrectly because I want to know before I start on the main body armor..

Looking great, but i'm not sure about the proportions. I think the eye level mite be too high compared to the shoulder height. But its so hard to say without any reference to shoulder width etc...

maybe ur best bet wud be to get a human model, either ur own or theres plenty flying about for download, and just import it and set it as a reference object. It won't have to fit exactly but u can then build around the model. Just an idea...
