Converting Problem

Can someone help me convert my model in 3dmax 6 to open in maya. I tried already to download a plugin for max to export an object, but no luck. does any one have maya bonus Tools. I heard you can open max file with that.
please help me out.

export the max file as .obj, then import that into maya.

I already did that, maya 6.5 does not open here is my obj file, if you can make it a .mb file please email it to me mgreen0@gmail.com

Looks like a bad obj. post the max file, and I'll try from that.
